Bessemer Area School District
The District is comprised of A.D. Johnston Junior/Senior High School and Washington Elementary School. The A.D. Johnston High School has been selected as one of the Nation's best high schools by U.S. News & World Report for the second straight year.  You can view the District's website here.

As of 2010, the total population of Bessemer is 1,905. Based on 2006-2010 census data, the per capita income of Bessemer is $19,390. Our median household income is $28,412, which has grown by 2.80% since 2000. The median household income growth rate is higher than the state average rate of 1.67%.
